The Director of the Unit has the following duties:
1.To coordinate the development of the Ministry’s ICT Policy; 2.To make sure that the Ministerial goal, objective and programs regarding ICT are effectively realised by planning in short and long-term, the coordination, the execution of information systems, the application of the technical standards and functional of ICT and by initiating the necessary changes; 3.To identify the need of ICT and to prepare the necessary documents for the acquisition of the equipment; 4.To ensure the reliability and the safety of the whole of the information processing system (security of the ICT system network); 5.To manage and maintain the network and it’s services; 6.To ensure the implementation of the ICT applications (Installation, assistance, staffs training); 7.To install the mechanisms of ICT Management 8.To identify the needs for staff training; 9.To support the ICT consultants in the Ministry; 10.To maintain the relations with various agents of the ICT in the Ministries and private sector; 11.To reinforce tie between RITA and the Ministry in the execution and the monitoring of NICI Plan; 12.To lead and coordinate the activity of a technical team; 13.To achieve any other task, in connection with the mission of the Ministry, assigned by the authorities of the Ministry
