On Wednesday, 12th November 2009, Rwanda’s new Ambassador to Tanzania Fatuma Ndangiza  presented her credentials to Tanzanian President, Jakaya Kikwete.

At arrival at the State house. Amb. Fatuma signed the visitors book and was led to HE Jakaya Kikwete. She then presented her credentials and the President invited her for a short discussion.

Ambassador Fatuma arrived in Dar es salaam on the 22/10/09. She was welcomed at the airport by ambadsm staff(staff), representatives of African Diplomatic Group in Tanzania, repr from the ministry of foreign affairs as well as the chairperson of Tanzania Rwanda friendship association.

On 12/11/09 Amb. Fatuma first met the Chief of Protocol/MOFA who briefed her on the local procedures for presentation of credentials.

She then met the Min. Of foreign affairs to present him copies of the letters of credence. The Min welcomed Amb, and expressed his satisfaction on the good relations between the 2 countries. He pledged total cooperation and full support to Amb to enhance those relations.

The President and the Amb discussed matters of cooperation btwn the 2 countries. Pres Kikwete expressed his satisfaction for the existing very good relations btwn Tanzania and Rwanda. The discussion touched also on the EAC as well as the Kigali- Isaka railway project.
