MINAFFET _ 8 February 2010, The Government of Rwanda and the Federal Republic of Germany in a spirit of Cooperation and friendly relations existing between the two countries, in a bid to strengthen and intensify Financial and Technical Cooperation signed two agreements at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation headquarters Kigali.

In her opening remarks at the ceremony Hon. Louise Mushikiwabo expressed the gratitude of the Government stating that “It is a sign of the excellent relations between Rwanda and Germany”, pledging the Government’s commitment in putting to good use the financial contributions in a spirit of transparency.

On his part H.E.  Elmer Timber, German Ambassador to Rwanda, expressed his Government’s commitment to the already existing excellent bilateral relations enjoyed by the two countries. The Federal Republic of Germany has offered the Government of Rwanda a Grant totaling to Thirty Eight, five hundred Million Euros (38.5 Euros).
