This Unit is in charge of monitoring the accreditation process of Foreign Ambassadors, Consuls, and Military Attachés, as well as similar categories of Rwandan diplomats, posted overseas, updating records regarding the establishment of diplomatic and consular relations between Rwanda and other countries, and International Organizations. Additionally, this desk also focuses on assisting Rwandan and Foreign Diplomatic Missions in their consular affairs. This Unit also handles Privileges and Immunities, which mainly consist of ensuring that all the members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Rwanda are given all privileges and immunities entitled to them as stated in the Vienna Convention.
This Unit is in charge of all the visits of dignitaries from abroad; Countries, International and Regional Organizations, Chiefs of Missions or Consulates as well as Summits and Forums taking place in Rwanda.
