Minister Biruta holds bilateral meeting with his Counterpart from Finland Mr. Pekka Haavisto

Kigali, 21 November 2019 - Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Dr. Vincent Biruta held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Pekka Haavisto, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland. They exchanged views on bilateral relations and discussed cooperation opportunities in various sectors.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto visited Rwanda on 21–22 November where he lead the EU delegation, on behalf of the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, to attend the 55th Session of the Africa Caribbean Pacific (ACP) Parliamentary Assembly and 38th Session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly held in Kigali from 14th to 21st November 2019.

He gave a statement and answered questions on behalf of the EU High Representative at the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.

Minister Haavisto also visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial to commemorate Rwandans who died in 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
