Minister Vincent Biruta chairs the 40th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers
On 25 February 2021, Minister Vincent Biruta chaired the 40th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the East African Community, ahead of the 21st Summit.
He was accompanied by Prof. Nshuti Manasseh, Minister of State in charge of EAC.
The Council of Ministers as the Community policy-making organ, is charged with the responsibility of keeping under constant review, the progress of implementation of the programmes and activities of the Community, among other things.
Discussions mainly focused on the report of the activities of the EAC Secretariat and its organs as well as the report of the Council to the upcoming Summit.
