Rwanda and Oman Sign Two Agreements and Six MoUs to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Salalah, 08 September 2026 - Rwanda and Oman signed two agreements and six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at Al Hosn Palace, marking a new step in bilateral cooperation. The agreements cover visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports, and the avoidance of double taxation.

The MoUs cover political consultations, labour, trade and investment, logistics, agriculture, and strategic partnership and investment activation: 

  1. Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic, Special, and Service Passports;

  2. Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations;

  3. Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Labor;

  4. Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation;

  5. Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Trade Cooperation and Investment Promotion;

  6. Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Logistics, Inland and Dry Port Development, and Supply Chain Services;

  7. Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of Agriculture;

  8. Strategic Partnership & Investment Activation Term Sheet.

The newly signed instruments provide a framework for expanding cooperation across strategic sectors and advancing mutually beneficial economic and diplomatic relations between the two countries.
