Rwanda and Togo sign three agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation
New York, 22 September 2026 — On the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe held a bilateral meeting with Prof. Robert Dussey, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, African Integration and Togolese Abroad of the Republic of Togo.
During the meeting, the two ministers signed three agreements aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation:
• Memorandum of Understanding on Political Consultations;
• Memorandum of Understanding establishing a Joint Commission for Cooperation;
• Framework Agreement for Cooperation.
The signing of these instruments marks an important step towards deepening bilateral engagement and expanding cooperation between Rwanda and Togo across areas of mutual interest.
