Rwanda Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Stability in South Sudan

Kigali, 30 September 2026 - On behalf of H.E. President Paul Kagame, Minister Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe participated in the virtual meeting of the African Union High-Level Ad Hoc Committee for South Sudan (C5 Plus), chaired by H.E. President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa. The meeting discussed the situation in South Sudan and ongoing efforts towards peace and stability.
Minister Nduhungirehe reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in South Sudan, including through its contribution to peace support operations and other existing mechanisms.
