The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar visits Rwanda

Kigali, 22 March 2019 - The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, H.E. Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and his delegation held bilateral discussions with the Rwandan delegation led by Rwanda's Minister of Foreign Affairs Hon. Dr. Richard Sezibera at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Both Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the existing momentum in bilateral dialogue between the two countries as confirmed by the recent visit to Qatar of H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda.

They decided to continue strengthening the relations between the two countries, notably by deepening political dialogue and consolidating cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, infrastructure, ICT, and tourism.

On the second day of his visit to Rwanda, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Rwanda Edouard Ngirente received H.E. Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. He was reassured that the Government of Rwanda was fully committed in taking relations between the two countries to greater heights for mutual benefits.

On the same day, H.E.  Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman was received by H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, and held discussions on a wide range of bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
