Minister Biruta receives his counterpart of Republic of Korea
Kigali, 12 August 2023 - Minister Vincent Biruta held a bilateral meeting with his counterpart, Jin Park, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, who is in Rwanda for a two-day working visit.
During their meeting, they discussed ways to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations, while looking at new areas of cooperation.
The meeting was concluded by a signing ceremony of two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on “Political Consultations” and a “Framework Arrangement on Economic Development Cooperation Fund”. These MoUs will enhance political and economic cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Rwanda.
“Your presence is a testimony of the genuine commitment of your Government to nurture good bilateral ties with Rwanda, as we look towards a bright future collaboration,” said Minister Biruta.
During this visit, Minister Park paid tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site. View
