MINISTER NDUHUNGIREHE RECEIVES U.S. CONGRESSIONAL STAFF
Kigali, 26 January 2026 – Minister Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, received the 7th cohort of U.S. Congressional staff visiting Rwanda from 24–29 January 2026 under the Rwanda Visit Program.
Discussions focused on strengthening the Rwanda–United States partnership, as well as Rwanda’s socio-economic development and post-genocide recovery journey.
The Rwanda Visit Program aims to educate participants on Rwanda’s political and socio-economic transformation following the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, under the theme: “Rwanda’s Post-Genocide Nation Building and Development.”
Established in 2022 under the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act (MECEA), the program has since hosted several cohorts of U.S. Congressional staff.
