Minister of State Dr. Usta Kaitesi attends EAC High-Level Multi-Sectoral Dialogue

Kigali, 19 February 2026 - Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Usta Kaitesi participated in the East African Community (EAC) High-Level Multi-Sectoral Dialogue convened in Kigali, Rwanda, from 19-20 February 2026, under the theme "From commitment to action, scaling up regional competitiveness to unlock trade and prosperity in the EAC."
In her welcome address, she emphasised that the region must therefore accelerate digital transformation by improving connectivity, promoting interoperability of digital payment systems, and creating enabling policies that facilitate secure and inclusive cross-border digital trade.
