Minister of State Kabarebe attends the 35th Meeting of Sectoral Council of Ministers for EAC Affairs
Arusha, 5 September 2025 - Minister of State James Kabarebe joined the 35th Meeting of the Sectoral Council of Ministers for EAC Affairs & Planning in Arusha, Tanzania.
The meeting discussed the following items:
Draft 7th EAC Development Strategy;
Draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for reviewing the EAC Vision 2050;
Draft ToR for developing a Regional Language Policy;
Progress updates on the elimination of Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) in the region.
On the sidelines, he held talks with Hon. Veronica M. Nduva, Secretary General of the East African Community, exploring ways to further strengthen partnerships.
