MoS Kabarebe James encourages Rwandans living abroad to embrace their language and culture
Kigali, 2 March 2024, Minister of State Kabarebe James joined the Rwandan Community living abroad to celebrate the International Day of the Mother Tongue. The event was held hybrid with the presence of the young Rwandans living in Belgium and their parents who were on their cultural study tour to Rwanda.
During the celebration, Minister Kabarebe emphasized the importance of encouraging Rwandan children living abroad to embrace their language and culture.
"Rwandans living abroad must encourage our children to learn our language and culture and bring them to their home country. Taking your time to bring them as you did, recreates a relationship with their country as Rwandans, they visit it, they love it, and that’s how they will be curious to know the language," MoS Kabarebe James remarked.
