PS MUKEKA WELCOMES U.S. CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION ON VISIT TO RWANDA
Kigali, April 22, 2025 — Permanent Secretary Clementine Mukeka welcomed a U.S. Congressional Delegation visiting Rwanda under the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act (MECEA) for five days. Discussions focused on Rwanda’s foreign policy priorities and the state of Rwanda–U.S. bilateral relations.
During their visit, the delegation toured the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where they paid tribute to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. They also visited the Mutobo Reintegration and Demobilization Centre in Musanze, where they were briefed on Rwanda’s efforts to reintegrate ex-combatants into society.
