Rwanda and ASECNA sign host country agreement

Kigali, 28 December 2023 - Minister Vincent Biruta and Mr. Mohamed Moussa, Director General of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), signed a Host Country Agreement between the Government of Rwanda and ASECNA.

In line with the African Union's Agenda 2063, Rwanda's membership to this Africa-wide organisation will aim to promote a liberalized and secure air navigation throughout the continent. View more pictures here.

ASECNA is a public institution of an international nature established in 1959. Its main mission is to provide air traffic services. It develops capabilities related to airport management, studies and construction of aeronautical infrastructure, maintenance of aeronautical equipment, calibration of air navigation aid instruments and training in air navigation professions.

Its 19 member states are: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, France, Gabon, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Togo and Rwanda.
