RWANDA ATTENDS EAC MINISTERIAL RETREAT ON ENHANCING REGIONAL INTEGRATION, PEACE, AND SECURITY
Zanzibar, 6-8 July 2024 – Minister Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe and Minister of State Kabarebe James, attended the Retreat of Ministers of East African Community Affairs and Ministers of Foreign Affairs on “Enhancing regional integration, peace, and security in the East African Community.”
This three day retreat was held in Zanzibar, Tanzania. It was attended by the Ministers responsible for East African Community Affairs and Ministers of Foreign Affairs from eight (8) EAC member States: United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic Democratic of the Congo, the Republic of Burundi, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of South Sudan, and the Republic of Uganda. The ministers deliberated on the current status of peace, security, inter state relations, and the state of the East African Community Integration process.
