Rwanda hosts 11th JPC between Rwanda and Uganda
Kigali, 22-24 March 2023 - Rwanda hosted the 11th Joint Permanent Commission (JPC) between the Republic of Rwanda and the Republic of Uganda. The three-day meeting assessed the implementation status of the 10th JPC and strategic areas of cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Vincent Biruta officially closed the meeting. “This important meeting marks another milestone in the ongoing process to revitalize the longstanding and excellent bilateral relations between our two countries," he said while delivering remarks.
The meeting was also attended by General Odongo Jeje, Uganda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. During this meeting, four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were signed in the fields of justice and constitutionalism, mutual legal assistance, diplomatic and political consultations, and migration matters.
